DEVELOPER APIS
ValueOddsAPI vs The Odds API
Monthly credits or hourly capacity?
Published by ValueOddsAPI · Sources reviewed 30 October 2026 · Product comparison, not an independent performance benchmark.
The practical difference
The Odds API at the-odds-api.com provides bookmaker odds in JSON, with historical odds on paid plans. Its published subscriptions use monthly credits. The domain matters: similarly named services should not be treated as the same provider.

Is one request the same as one credit?
No. The main odds endpoint charges by markets × regions. For example, three markets across two regions consume six credits. Historical odds use a different multiplier. Compare the endpoints you will actually call, not just headline limits.
